We bought this toy in 1997 when our first child was 1. Now, our fourth plays with it. It has been dropped numerous times, and still works. I read a review above that complains about a character saying "push one of my friends". That is not what mine says, it says "PRESS Casey, Della or Zeke for some help". It is definately worth 10 bucks. -- Durable, fun toy.

We keep this toy in the car. It is the perfect size for little hands and sits in his lap. It has several settings so you can really get alot of use out of it. Plus, we noticed that he has started to relate letters and sounds to words like "D" for "dog". I highly recommend it. -- My Son Loves It!

I bought this toy for my 21 month old son. Within 2 weeks he knew most of his alphabet by sight. He started noticing that letters were all around him: in his books, on posters we have hanging on our walls, on street signs, etc. Within another 2 weeks he was able to play the quiz modes of the toy and get the answers right most of the time. This quickly became on of his favorite toys.
The music and songs that the characters sing get a little annoying after a short period, but it's worth it for the educational value.

My daughter received the Phonics Bus when she was about a year old. She is now 5. It has been dropped a lot. The letters still come out very clear.I like that it also quizes the kids, not just says the letters and sounds. It has now been passed down to her little brother. (who has done more than just drop it)This toy is very educational and very tough. The batteries also last FOREVER. -- GREAT TOY!
