First off, this toy is very expensive. Second, it took 3 weeks for this item to get delivered to my house. Third, when my son opened it on Christmas it turned out that Tad had a British accent. It was very disappointing. -- I got the British version

Our daughter received this gift on her first birthday. It was such an incredible crib toy for her. It really helped with the transition period when she was learning to fall asleep on her own. And it often afforded us a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning as our daughter would often play with it on her own for a few minutes before crying for us.

When our son was born 2 years later, he inherited the toy. He is now almost five and he still occassionally likes to listen to the music to help him drift off to sleep. This has been the best baby gift we have ever received. After two children and six and a half years, it is still going strong and in great condition. It was a crib/bed toy that did not get played with during day hours (except naptime) so that helped its lifespan. It also helped to keep it novel and associated with the bedtime ritual.

My daughter received this at a shower at 3 months old. At the time she did not pay much attention to it. After she turned 1, she began to interact with him more and by 2, he could put her to sleep with the nighttime songs (they can last up to 6 minutes). She is still using Tad to put herself to sleep at 4! After we say goodnight, she sets Tad for 6 minute increments until she is finally asleep. Last night she was asleep during his first 6 minutes of songs. She just loves Tad. We use rechargeable batteries but they last a long time. He has been a lifesaver for a little girl who sometimes has trouble relaxing. A wonderful toy, his volume can be adjusted and we have really enjoyed him. -- Daughter loves Tad

My daughter got baby tad for christmas when she was six months old. It has truly grown with her. When she was little I would push the buttons for her and she named the shapes and LOVES the songs, but as she got bigger she loved pushing the lights herself, and of course giving kisses! Now three, it is the only toy she wont share with her baby sister, so now we get to buy one for her too! We tried to substitute with the fisher price learning puppy, and not even the neighbor kids will play with that one! -- best toy ever!
