Finely detailed 1/48 scale model kit of the Sd.Kfz.171, a World War II German tank commonly known as the Panther. The Panther was first introduced into the "Battle of Kursk" in mid 1943 to counter the highly acclaimed Soviet T-34 tank. Like the Soviet T-34, the Panther featured sloped-armor, and unlike heavier Tiger tanks, the Panther was faster and more maneuverable. Armed with the Rheinmetall-Borsig 75 mm main gun, the Panther was capable of knocking out any tank fielded by the Allies in the Second World War. This 1/48 scale model kit accurately reproduces the Ausf. G production model of the Panther tank, the most successful and widely produced variant of the Panther tank. This kit comes with die-cast chassis for extra weight and enhanced realism and decals for 4 sets of markings.
